Adam W. Burke

Adam Burke is a Senior Attorney at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC. His practice is focused on assisting clients with upstream oil and gas exploration, including the drafting of original, drilling, division order, supplemental, and other title opinions. He has drafted title opinions across Texas, including East Texas, the Permian Basin, and the Eagle Ford Shale.Prior to joining Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC, Adam developed his oil and gas practice with James P. Barnett, Jr. & Associates, P.C. and Kuiper, Wheat & Associates, LLP, focusing on title issues, curative, and drafting title opinions but including such areas as landowner representation, lease negotiation, and operating agreements.

Adam is licensed to practice law in Texas and Oklahoma. He is based in the Houston, Texas office of Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC.

• Drafting title opinions, conveyance documents, and curative instruments covering oil and gas developmental prospects
• Consulting clients on various oil and gas development issues including surface use, royalty/payment issues, curative issues, and interest acquisition
• Negotiating Oil and Gas Leases on behalf of Landowners and Oil and Gas Operators
• Assisting in representation of Oil and Gas Operators in arbitration and settlement negotiations
• Preparation of various legal documents, including Use and Possession Affidavits, Affidavits of Non-Production, Correction Warranty Deeds, Quit Claim Deeds, Release of Liens and Stipulations of Interest
