Amanda Powell is an Associate Attorney at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC, practicing predominantly in Oil & Gas and Estate Planning.

In her practice, Amanda has focused primarily within the Oil and Gas industry. She has examined title for and drafted drilling and division order title opinions covering North Dakota and Montana, and assisted with title examination throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Amanda also has experience on the regulatory side of oil and gas in Montana.

Amanda earned her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law (2021), along with a Business & Transactional Law Certificate. During law school, Amanda took advantage of the many oil and gas, property and business courses offered, taking an interest in transactional practice areas.  Amanda earned her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (2025) while working for KMD. She gained a vast education in Business and Estate taxation while earning her LL.M. Amanda also enjoyed working with the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic advocating for individuals with income tax complications against the IRS.

Amanda is licensed to practice law in Montana and North Dakota. She is remotely based from the Denver office for Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC.
