Jacob Melancon

Jacob Melancon is a Senior Attorney in the Energy & Natural Resources practice group at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC, and brings with him 9+ years of experience assisting upstream energy clients navigate complex title issues.

Upon his graduation from the University of Houston Law Center in 2010, he spent a year as a field landman running title in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas, prior to embarking upon his career as an Oil and Gas Attorney in Houston in 2011. Over the course of the past decade, he has authored several hundred title opinions covering properties located in counties all over the state of Texas, from the Permian Basin to the Eagle Ford, and Deep East Texas to the Gulf Coast. In addition, he has run title on or assisted with numerous projects on lands in New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming.

Jacob is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and North Dakota and is based out of the Houston office of Kearney, McWilliams and Davis, PLLC.
