Lily Leal is an Of Counsel Immigration & Business Attorney to Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy. Upon graduation, Ms. Leal embarked on an education career with one of the largest urban school districts in the country, working in various positions such as a bilingual early childhood educator and community engagement specialist. During her time with the school district, Ms. Leal refined her language skills in Vietnamese and Spanish, working alongside and serving on the boards of various non-profit community-based organizations as well as responding to parents’ needs.
During law school, Ms. Leal further became involved in her community by helping to identify and develop legal programs that would respond to the needs of the growing immigrant population in Houston. Since graduating from law school in 2013, she has cultivated additional experience in handling various immigration law issues and currently leads her own practice, Lily Leal Law.
Ms. Leal has worked with other firms in the past to assist with immigration law needs.
Additionally, Ms. Leal has experience working with small businesses in the Houston area from the formation phase to the ongoing operations phase of their respective entities. She has provided guidance to small business in obtaining and protecting their trademarks and copyrights.
She is fluent in Spanish and Vietnamese.
