Matthew R. Lackey

Matthew R. Lackey is a Partner and Managing Member at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC, practicing primarily in the area of oil and gas law, while focusing on the preparation of drilling and division order title opinions.

Matt began his career in the oil and gas industry as a landman for a Denver-based oil and gas broker, working in Colorado and Wyoming. There, Matt was a member of several due diligence teams responsible for numerous acquisitions of oil and gas producing properties, including the procurement of 33,100 net mineral acres in the Denver-Julesburg Basin.

Prior to joining Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, he worked as a consulting landman for a Denver oil and gas company. As a member of their New Drill Land Team, Matt was responsible for the creation of Drill Spacing Units. He is a graduate of the Creighton University School of Law.

Mr. Lackey is licensed in Colorado and Wyoming. He is based in the Denver, Colorado, office for Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC.
