Melissa Lombardo is a Senior Attorney at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC.  Melissa has advised clients in the energy sector for almost twenty years, with a particular focus on upstream oil and gas transactions and title examination in Louisiana and Texas.

After earning an undergraduate degree in Business with a Spanish minor from Louisiana State University, Melissa continued her education graduating with her law degree and Bachelors of Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2004.  She began her career in the oil and gas industry as a field landman working throughout the Gulf Coast area for several years.

Since her time as a landman, Melissa has worked in-house as land and regulatory counsel for a local E&P company managing the company’s contracts, including operating agreements, drilling contracts, master service agreements, asset acquisition and divestiture contracts, surface and water use agreements, participation agreements, and commercial and employment contracts.  Melissa has extensive experience in complex mineral title examination, preparing drilling, division order and supplemental opinions, conducting due diligence for asset acquisition, and drafting curative instruments.

Melissa is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Texas, and is based in the Houston, Texas office of Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC.
