Michael J. Howard

Michael Howard is a Senior Attorney at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis, PLLC, where his practice focuses on oil and gas law. He brings more than a decade of experience advising clients on complex litigation, due diligence, and title examination, with a primary focus in Colorado and Wyoming.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael practiced at several Denver-based firms, where he handled complex class action royalty litigation and prepared oil and gas title opinions. He also worked with a prominent Denver land brokerage as a Landman, conducting title examination and due diligence in connection with acquisitions and divestitures, as well as managing land data systems.

Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2014. As a sixth-generation Coloradan, he maintains deep ties to the region he serves.

Outside of his practice, Michael enjoys spending time in the Colorado and Wyoming outdoors, including golfing, snowboarding, camping, fishing and hunting.

Michael is licensed to practice in Colorado and Wyoming and is based in the firm’s Denver office.
