She attended George Washington University where she majored in Political Science with a background in international relations. She has worked at the State Department at the Bureau of Consular Affairs and the Peace Corps. Ms. Bhagat then went on to attend law school at American University Washington College of Law in Washington D.C. Ms. Bhagat earned her early practice certificate and worked with a criminal defense firm in Virginia, the Arlington County Commonwealth Attorney’s office, and the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.
